Web development in Stockholm: what we build
01
Business website
The site that has to carry the whole operation: service pages, client cases, blog and contact paths. Up to 30 pages, built to grow without needing a rebuild next year.
02
Landing page
One page with a single purpose: an enquiry, a booking or a download. Fastest to ship - suits testing an offer or supporting an ad campaign.
03
E-commerce
Product catalogue, cart, checkout and payments. Built so the product pages can actually be found in Google, not just navigated to from inside the site.
04
Rebuild of an existing site
Already have a site that's slow, hard to update or invisible? We rebuild it without losing the positions you already hold - redirects and structure are planned before the move.
Websites we have built
Browse launched projects - every website is built to rank in Google and turn visitors into customers.
Four steps. You're involved in step one and three - we handle the rest.
01
Needs and scope
We go through what the business does, who the site has to convince and which pages are actually needed. Price and delivery date are set here - both fixed.
02
Structure and design
Sitemap, heading structure and keyword map first, visual design second. You approve the design of the home page and one subpage before anything gets built, with two rounds of revisions. If you want several directions to choose between, say so in step one and it goes into the quote.
03
Build and content
The site is coded, copy and images go in, and every page gets its title, meta description and schema markup. You can follow along on a staging address.
04
Launch and handover
We measure speed, connect Search Console and Analytics, set redirects from the old site and hand everything over. Then 30 days of support.
Websites we've built for businesses in Stockholm
WebSEO
Stone company - Stonepoint.se
From zero visibility to around twenty inquiries per month.
26,000 Google impressions per month after the relaunch.
The bar for a business website has moved. It is no longer enough for it to exist and look tidy - it has to be found by the right people, load in under two seconds on mobile and lead the visitor to a call, a form or a booking. Those are three different disciplines, and we build all three in from the start:
Visibility: one page per service and location people actually search for, with headings, metadata and schema.org in place at launch
Speed: PageSpeed 90+ on mobile as a requirement in the order, not as an afterthought
Conversion: a contact path visible on every page, forms that work with a thumb and clear prices wherever possible
When is it time for a new website?
Building a new website in Stockholm is not always the right answer - sometimes a rebuild of the one you have is enough. Most people who get in touch already have a site, and the question is rarely whether it exists but whether it does anything: can it be updated without help, does it load on mobile, does anyone find it in Google. Four situations where a new website or a rebuild almost always pays off:
The site runs on a template nobody maintains any more and every update needs a developer
It loads slowly on mobile - visitors leave before the content even appears
You've changed direction or pricing but the site still says something else
You're advertising and paying for clicks that land on a page which doesn't convert
Should you build the site yourself instead? That's a perfectly reasonable route for some - we've covered when it works and when it doesn't in Build a website yourself or hire an agency.
What does a web designer do - and what do we include?
A web designer is responsible for how the site looks and behaves: structure, typography, colour, responsiveness and how a visitor finds their way to the contact path. With us the coding is part of the same assignment - which is why we can promise PageSpeed 90+ instead of hoping for it. The scope differs between packages, but the foundation is the same regardless of size:
Part
What it means in practice
Technical foundation
Hand-coded site, PageSpeed 90+, SSL, GDPR and cookie consent in place at launch
Structure
Sitemap and heading hierarchy planned around what people actually search for, not around your internal org chart
Search optimisation
Title, meta description, schema.org and internal linking on every page - not bolted on afterwards
Multilingual
Swedish and English included, with correct hreflang so the language versions don't compete with each other
Measurement
Google Analytics and Search Console connected and verified before handover
Handover
You get access to everything, code and domain included - nothing stays with us
WordPress agency in Stockholm: when we choose WordPress and when we code
WordPress is right when several people edit content daily and you need a large catalogue of ready-made add-ons. The downside is maintenance: plugins need updating, security holes need patching and performance drops with every new plugin.
A hand-coded site is right when the site has to be fast, rarely changes structure and should last for years without a maintenance contract. It costs more to build and less to run. We build both - the choice comes from how you'll actually work with the site, not from what's technically most fun.
Already have a WordPress site that works but is slow? Sometimes the answer is optimisation rather than a rebuild. That's a clearly cheaper route and we'll say so when it applies.
E-commerce and webshops: what we build and on which platform
A webshop is two projects in one: the store that has to work for the customer at checkout, and the catalogue that has to be findable in Google. Most online stores that don't sell have nothing wrong at checkout - their product and category pages lack text, have duplicate titles or load too slowly to rank.
Coded in Next.js: fastest and without a platform fee, right when the range and the flows are clear from the start
WordPress: right when you already have a WordPress site or want to add products and campaigns yourselves every week
Shopify or a similar platform: sometimes right for large ranges with their own stock flow - and then we say so, even if it means less build work for us
Prices for e-commerce are in the packages above. Cart, checkout, payment solutions and search-optimised product and category pages are included whichever route you choose.
How long does a web design project take?
A landing page takes 4–7 working days, a business website 7–15 and an e-commerce site from 20. What stretches the timeline is almost never the build but the content: copy, images and decisions about what goes where. If your material is ready you land in the lower end of the range.
Note the difference between the site being finished and the site being visible in Google. Launch and indexing take days, positions take months - we've shown a real trajectory day by day in How long does SEO take?.
What design has to do with Google
Google doesn't measure whether a site is pretty. It does measure things that design decisions control directly: how fast the main content becomes visible, whether the layout jumps while the page loads, whether buttons can be pressed with a thumb. That's Core Web Vitals, and in practice they're decided by image handling, font loading and how much script runs before the page appears.
Structure matters just as much: one page per thing people search for, clear headings and internal links between related pages. A beautiful site with all its content on the home page ranks worse than a plainer site with the right structure. The details are in our technical SEO guide.
Web design agency or freelance web designer?
A freelance web designer is often cheaper per hour and works well for a simple site built on a clear template. In web design for businesses that need to rank and work for years the difference shows: the job needs both design and web development, and with freelancers those often sit with two people who aren't responsible for each other's decisions.
We are a small web design agency in Stockholm. The same team does design and code, so you get a custom website instead of a template, a fixed price for both parts and someone who answers when something needs changing a year from now. Who does the work is on our about us page.
What should you ask a web designer before signing?
Who owns the code and the domain after launch - and what happens if we want to switch supplier?
Is the price fixed or running, and what counts as a change outside the agreement?
What PageSpeed score is guaranteed on mobile at handover?
What SEO work is included at launch, and what is a separate assignment?
How are redirects from the old site handled so existing positions aren't lost?
What does it cost to add a page in six months - and can we do it ourselves?
If you want a picture of market pricing before you ask us, there's a walkthrough of what different types of sites actually cost in How much does a website cost?.
Frequently asked questions about websites and web design
What does your fixed price for a business website include?
Everything the site needs to launch and be found: design, development, Swedish and English, contact form, Google Analytics and Search Console, GDPR setup with cookie consent, SSL and 30 days of technical support. The page structure, headings and metadata are planned around what your customers search for, not just how you are organised. Outside the scope are domain and hosting, paid image licences and copywriting if you want us to write the texts - all of that is specified in the quote before we start, so the fixed price really is fixed.
Is search engine optimisation included when you build the website?
The part that belongs to the build is included: pages structured around what customers search for, a title and meta description on every page, schema.org, speed and Search Console connected at launch. What isn't included is the work after launch - new content, links and following up positions month by month. That is a separate service: ongoing search engine optimisation in Stockholm at a fixed monthly price.
Can you rebuild our existing site without losing our Google positions?
Yes, and it's the most common request. Before the move we map which pages actually drive traffic today and set permanent redirects from every old address to its new counterpart. What usually causes a drop during a rebuild is old addresses disappearing without redirects, not the design itself. If you're unsure which pages drive traffic today, we start with an SEO analysis of the website before the rebuild.
Can we update the content ourselves afterwards?
Yes. Which solution you get depends on how you'll work: if several people need to edit daily you get a CMS; if it's enough to change copy and prices a few times a year we solve it more simply and more cheaply. We go through this in step one so you don't pay for an editing setup you won't use.
Do we need to hire a web designer and a developer separately?
Not with us - design and code are done by the same team, which is the whole reason we can promise PageSpeed 90+. When the work is split between two suppliers it's common for the design to be drawn without regard to load time, and then speed becomes someone else's problem to fix afterwards.
Can we buy the website outright, without an ongoing contract?
Yes. You pay the one-off price, receive the code, content and domain, and have no monthly fees to us. The only extra is domain and hosting with a provider of your choice. If you want help with updates, security and speed afterwards, website maintenance is available as a separate service from SEK 1,495/month - but it is a choice, not a condition.
