The stone company that went from zero visibility to twenty enquiries a month

Stonepoint.se results curve in Google Search Console, daily impressions before and after the relaunch

Stonepoint manufactures and installs made-to-measure countertops and window sills in natural stone: granite, marble and limestone. The company had a website, customers and a good reputation, but search engines only found it by its company name. We rebuilt the site with the search structure as the blueprint. Five weeks after launch, enquiries started coming from people who had never heard of the company before.

The problem: only people who already knew the company found it

Anyone googling "Stonepoint" found the site in first place. Anyone googling "granite kitchen countertop" did not find it at all. That gap is the whole business: the first group are customers the company already had, the second are customers it never got. In the six weeks before the relaunch, search engines delivered 34 clicks in total, almost all on the company name, and zero enquiries.

For a stone supplier that is especially costly. A natural stone countertop is rarely an impulse purchase: the customer compares material, dimensions and price for weeks before making contact. A company that is invisible during that period never even makes the shortlist of possible suppliers.

What we did

Instead of designing first and optimising afterwards, a new website for Stonepoint.se was built around how people actually search for natural stone:

  • A dedicated page per material and use. Countertops in granite, marble and limestone, window sills and bathrooms each got their own page instead of sharing a single product page. Every page can therefore win its own search.
  • Material guides that meet the customer early. Care, material choice and Kolmarden marble capture those still comparing, and lead on to the right product page.
  • A technical foundation in place before launch: statically generated pages, fast loading, structured data and a sitemap submitted the same day.
  • Internal linking tying together guides, categories and contact paths, so both visitors and Google find the whole structure from the home page.
  • A quote request visible on every page, because traffic without a clear route to contact does not turn into business.

The same domain before and after the relaunch. The only difference is the website.

Most important of all: the phone started ringing for different reasons than before. Five weeks after launch the client counted around twenty contacts over the past month, most of them genuine enquiries, against essentially zero before. That is the client's own count across calls, forms and emails. Conversion tracking is being set up as the next step, so every enquiry can be traced to its source.

The client's reply: around 20 contacts in the last month, mostly real leads, from zero
The client's own reply five weeks after launch.

All of the above happened before a single krona in ads and before any link building. Google Analytics shows 0 sessions from paid traffic for the entire period. The next phase raises the click-through rate by lifting the category pages from position 12-15 into the top 5.

What this means for your company

Stonepoint's situation is more common than you would think: a working business with a website that only picks up those who already know the name. If that sounds familiar, it shows up directly in Search Console, in how large a share of your clicks come from your own company name. We go through that figure for you in a free visibility analysis. The full timeline behind this project, day by day, is in the article How long does SEO take?, and more projects are in our case studies. If you want the same work on an ongoing basis, we do it as an SEO agency with a fixed monthly price, with no 12-month contract.
