Four parts of the analysis

01

Technical analysis

Core Web Vitals, indexing, crawlability, page speed, canonical, hreflang, robots.txt and sitemap. Technical faults hold back every other SEO effort - which is why we start here.

02

On-page & content

Title tags, meta descriptions, H1–H6 heading structure, schema.org, internal linking, alt texts and content analysis. We flag thin pages and duplicates that drag down the whole site.

03

Competitor & keyword gap

Which keywords your top-10 competitors rank for that you're missing, and where their pages are stronger. The gap analysis shows where the fastest wins are.

04

Link profile

A review of your incoming links: DR, relevance, anchor texts and toxic links. You'll know whether your link profile is holding you back - or whether the problem lies elsewhere.

From order to action list

Four steps, 3–7 working days. You only need to be involved in the first and the last.

  1. Order & access

You give us read access to Google Search Console and Analytics. No website login needed - the analysis is done from the outside.

  2. Technical crawl & on-page

We crawl the entire site, measure Core Web Vitals per page type and review indexing, metadata, heading structure and internal linking page by page.

  3. Competitors & links

The top 10 in your niche are compared against your site: keyword gap, content depth and link profile. This is where the fastest wins become visible.

  4. Report & walkthrough

You receive the PDF report with actions prioritised P1–P3 and a 60-minute online walkthrough where we answer all your questions.

What is an SEO analysis?

An SEO analysis is a systematic review of everything that affects a website's visibility on Google: technical setup, content, internal structure and link profile - benchmarked against the competitors that actually rank. The result isn't a grade but an action list: what's broken, what it costs you in visibility, and in what order it should be fixed. SEO analysis, SEO audit or SEO review - three names for the same review. The same goes for website analysis, site analysis or analysing a web page: same work, different words.

New to the field? The basics of how Google ranks pages are explained in What is SEO?.

What's included in an analysis of the website - and what do we find?

The audit covers four parts when we analyse the website. Here's what typical findings look like in each:

PartWhat we reviewTypical finding
TechnicalCore Web Vitals, indexing, crawl, redirectsSlow LCP on mobile; pages accidentally blocked from the index
On-pageTitle, meta, H1–H6, schema.org, internal linkingDuplicate title tags; service pages without schema markup
CompetitorsKeyword gap, content depth, SERP featuresA competitor owns 40 keywords you don't even have pages for
LinksDR, relevance, anchor texts, toxic linksThe link profile is fine - the problem sits in the content (most common)

How much does an SEO analysis cost?

With us: 6 000 kr fixed price, regardless of site size up to a couple of hundred pages. On the market, prices range from 5 000 to 30 000 kr - and at the upper end you're often paying for a sales pitch ahead of an expensive monthly retainer rather than for a usable report. Our audit is a standalone product: the report is written so anyone with basic technical skills can act on it, not just us. If your site is larger than that, you get a fixed-price quote before we start - never open-ended hours.

What the report looks like

  • One-page summary - the 5 most important findings and the expected effect of fixing them
  • Action list prioritised P1–P3 - P1 blocks visibility and gets fixed first, P3 is fine-tuning
  • Technical appendix - every issue with URL, screenshot and a concrete recommendation
  • Keyword and competitor data - gap table with volume and difficulty per keyword
  • Link profile review - what to keep, build and possibly disavow

After delivery we go through the report together for 60 minutes. Your developer can work directly from the technical section; a good starting point for self-study is our technical SEO guide.

Six issues we find in almost every analysis

  1. Duplicate or auto-generated title tags - Google then picks what to display on its own, often wrongly
  2. Slow LCP on mobile - the page feels fast on office wifi but loses visitors (and rankings) on 4G
  3. Thin service pages - 150 words don't compete with pages of 1 500; the page exists but never ranks
  4. Incorrect canonical or hreflang - pages compete with themselves or show up in the wrong language
  5. Important pages without internal links - Google finds them late and values them low
  6. No schema markup - your competitor gets FAQ rows and stars in the search results, you get a blue link

Fix it yourself, or let us do it?

Both work - the report is written for it. If you have a developer, or the time to work through the P1 list yourself, you don't need to buy anything more from us. If you'd rather have ongoing help with fixes, content and link building, there's full-service SEO from 10 000 kr/month - and the audit fee is deducted from your first month. Examples of what the right fixes deliver are in our client cases.

Not sure whether you need a full audit? Book the free mini analysis - 30 minutes, your 3–5 biggest obstacles and an honest verdict. Sometimes the answer is that you don't need to buy anything at all.

Frequently asked questions about SEO analysis

How long does an SEO analysis take?

The SEO audit is delivered within 3–7 working days from the moment we get read access to Search Console and Analytics. Smaller sites go faster; e-commerce with thousands of product pages can take an extra day or so. The mini analysis is booked as a 30-minute meeting, usually within the same week.

Which tools do you use in the analysis?

Ahrefs for keyword, competitor and link data, Google Search Console for indexing and real search queries, PageSpeed Insights and CrUX data for performance, plus a full crawl of the site. Every conclusion in the report is backed by data you can verify yourself.

How do you analyse a website yourself?

Start with five free steps. Search Console shows whether pages are indexed and which queries you actually appear for. PageSpeed Insights measures load time on mobile. A site: search in Google shows what is in the index. You can see titles and meta descriptions as they appear in the search results, and the site should be usable with a thumb on mobile. What those tools don't show is the competitor gap, whether the link profile is holding you back and which of forty shortcomings is actually costing you money - that's where the audit takes over. The basics for your own fixes are in our technical SEO guide.

What's the difference between the mini analysis and the full audit?

The mini analysis is a 30-minute snapshot: we look at your visibility live and point out the 3–5 biggest obstacles. The audit is a systematic review of the entire site over several days - with a crawl, competitor comparison, link review and a documented action list in PDF that your developer can work from for months. Since August 2026 it also includes a check of whether the AI assistants name you, and the background to that is in GEO and AI search.

Does a new website need an SEO analysis?

Ideally before launch. Building it right from the start - structure, metadata, speed, schema - costs a fraction of redoing it afterwards. For sites that are already live: if the site has been up for over a year without a technical review, chances are high there are P1 issues holding back your visibility. If you want to know how long it takes before a new site starts appearing, we show a real trajectory in How long does SEO take? If we build the website for you, structure, metadata and the keyword map are planned during the build, so no separate analysis is needed before launch.

Do you verify that the fixes worked?

A short follow-up on the P1 items is included - let us know when they're done and we'll verify the issues are gone. A full re-check of the entire site is quoted separately, or included on an ongoing basis if you continue with full-service SEO.

Is an SEO analysis worth the money for a small business?

Work backwards: a single P1 issue - say, an accidentally blocked section or broken indexing - can cost you your entire organic visibility, and it stays invisible until someone looks for it. 6 000 kr is roughly what 15–30 clicks cost in Google Ads in a competitive niche. And if the site is in good shape, the report says so too - that answer is worth something as well.
